brendaI was at the mall the other day, and saw some pretty cool shirts. And, upon seeing the ridiculous price of $20 for a single T-shirt, I was inspired to make my own. Now, I have already made my own bleached shirts, but this time, I wanted to try something different.
I found some doodles my husband had made.
I liked them, so I drew one onto an undershirt I found. I just used a sharpie. It might fade, but it won't wash out.
Then I cut it out and sewed it onto an old shirt that I didn't like anymore and was about to get rid of. (Next time you're about to throw away an article of clothing you have grown weary of...think about modifying it instead. It may turn into you FAVORITE article of clothing!)
I did the sewing by hand because I don't have a sewing machine. I will admit, this was done quickly and may not hold up in the wash...but I really don't care. This was an experiment, and I will just make a better one later. I started with normal thread and just stitched around the edges. Then I came back with pink embroidery thread to make it look cooler and to make it stronger.
Here it is, finished.
Ta daaaaah!!
(Yeah, I know the picture's backwards cuz I took it in a mirror, but Jesse wasn't home and I wasn't about to set up a tripod and use the automatic timer. I guess I could have flipped it in photoshop...but then it would have taken me longer to complete this post.)
